Dress + boots for class

My outfit for school today was pretty girly and cute! I’ve been dressing like a bum for most of the semester but recently I’ve been stepping it up. Maybe it has something to do with the weather dropping below 90 degrees for the first time…

floral tiered dresstiered dress and boots

My dress was given to me by my  awesome cousin from Forever 21. It’s a pretty blue color with a small, white floral print. The tiered design makes it pretty unique, I don’t own anything like it! I found some similar dresses here, here and here. I got my boots during black friday last year at Macy’s. This is my second pair of black friday boots from there, they always seem to have some crazy deals on shoes during black friday. Hopefully I can score another pair this year. They’re currently sold out on Macy’s website but they are the Rampage Idera riding boots for anyone who’s wondering. My necklace that you can barely see is also from Macy’s. It’s a cute little silver key!

Lunch and thrifting

Shirt – Urban Outfitters, jeans – Wet Seal, scarf – Target, boots – Macy’s, purse – Ross

Today was a pretty casual day. We went out to lunch at Chipotle (delicious) and then went thrift shopping. I went to a thrift store I had never been to before and found two new shirts. I like one of them and kind of regret buying the other, but oh well (it was only $6). I also had class later this night (I started college! I’m only taking one class currently but I start a second one in April). I changed this outfit a little bit for class but didn’t take a photo. Instead, I wore my black Hot Topic jeans and added my Tilly’s black and gray jacket. I feel like this shirt looks so dressy, it makes me feel less slobby than my usual jeans, furry boots and tee shirt. Also, let’s just take a moment to appreciate how great scarves are. Now that this was the most random/poorly thought out post on this blog, I will say goodbye and thanks for reading!

Fall Outfit of the Day

Cardigan: Goodwill (from Target), Printed Top: Aeropostale, Gray Cami: JC Penney, Jeans: Hollister, Boots: Charlotte Russe, Neff beanie: Tilly’s

I always enjoy when I find a new outfit that actually looks good. Often when I’m trying out new outfit combinations I feel uncomfortable because it’s not what I’m used to or I think it looks odd. I’m pretty happy with the way this one turned out. Today it was still fairly warm but not as hot as it was a few weeks ago. The three quarter length sleeves and light weight of the cardigan made it comfortable. I haven’t worn this shirt very much but I think it will be great for all seasons. It’s a tank top but works well for layering.

Now my new favorite accessory, my beanie!! I have never had a beanie that stays on my head like this one, I’m thinking of doing a review on it sometime. I love it so much and it makes all of my outfits feel perfect to me. The fall colors and boots make it great for the season too!

Summer Outfits

Now that summer is in full swing, I have some fun plans coming up. I’ve been thinking alot about what I want to wear in the upcoming months so here are a few of my ideas.

I absolutely love this outfit. The color of the shirt is so beautiful and I think the awesome necklace complements it really well. I like that the boots add some edginess. If it was really hot out I would probably just wear flip flops, but I’m going to be in the northwest for a while where boots will be totally fine!

Top: Tilly’s
Shorts: Hollister
Necklace: Forever21
Boots: Charlotte Russe

I would wear this outfit on a day to day basis. It’s pretty casual but still really cute and summer appropriate because of the pink bandeau. A long necklace pulls everything together.

Tank: Papaya
Bandeau: Papaya (I think…)
Capris: Old Navy
Neckalce: Charming Charlie
Sneakers: Tilly’s

This outfit is really cute and girly. The dress is very comfortable which is nice for when it’s blazing hot outside (every day where I live). The jacket makes it look more put together and is great for summer nights.

Dress: Target
Denim jacket: Macy’s (not 100% sure of that though)
Watch: Target
Necklace: Forever21
Sandals: Marshalls

This outfit is very simple but trendy. Mint is one of my favorite colors and the semi high-waisted shorts are kind of a statement piece. I used rainbow accessories to add color.

Tee: Target
Shorts: Forever21
Necklace: Somewhere in Cannon Beach a hella long time ago, I wish I could buy more in different colors!
Sandals: Ross
