Dinner Outfit of the Night

red printed pants full outfit

I can’t remember the last time I was this obsessed with a clothing item. It’s shallow, but it’s such an awesome feeling to find something cute that you know you will wear a million times just because it makes you so happy. I feel like these pants match my personality, free flowing, easy going and kind of weird.

I loved these so much I bought another pair in black and white. I wish it wasn’t so hot already so I could wear both of them more often. Luckily I got the chance to wear them out to dinner this evening. I think these pants look best with a cropped top because they sit kind of high on my waist. This crop top is one of those awesome tie-back halter tops, it’s backless and I wanted to get a cool shot showing the open back but by the time I thought of it it was dark outside :(

Outfit details:

  • AMAZING palazzo/wide leg printed pants: Macy’s, they were originally $34 but they were hella on sale so I got both pairs for about that price.
  • Halter crop top: $10-ish from Brandy Melville, as you can see from my fancy photo editing skills above
  • Flip flops (not that you can really see them…): Flojos from Costco

My family from out of town is here so we’ve been doing some fun things around southern California. Today we went to lunch at this awesome restaurant called Native Foods Cafe, and we had dessert at Diddy Riese.

This was my delicious vegan reuben sandwich.

It was a little cold out and I forgot my jacket, but it was still fun. I was also wearing my newest Neff beanie, it’s mint green!
ferriswheelviewWe went on the ferris wheel on the pier, I’ve been on it once before but it was still awesome! The view is insane, if you are visiting near Santa Monica I highly recommend it, I think it’s only like $5 per person.

September Favorites

Gunmetal and creep: I have a feeling I’ll be wearing these two shadows a lot for the rest of the year. I previously hadn’t used these too much because I’m not the best at “smoky eyes” but the way I’ve been using these makes it easier. I use gunmetal all over my lid and then use a light amount of gunmetal mixed with creep and blend it a little higher into my crease. It’s awesome because it’s so dark I feel like it defines my eyes enough that I don’t have to apply eyeliner.

Top knot/bun: I really hate this hairstyle but I couldn’t help but wear it this month. It’s been 90-100 degrees and having long hair is so annoying when it’s that hot. When I can get my hair to brush out smoothly and the bun doesn’t look wonky it can actually be kind of cute but I have yet to perfect it.

Brandy Melville spike bracelet: I’ve heard so much about Brandy Melville from beauty/fashion people on youtube and I’m lucky enough to have one fairly near me so I finally went in. The clothes were really cute but the accessories were kind of the only affordable things. I saw this bracelet online and I knew I really wanted it. It’s so cute and it really adds some of my style to any outfit. It was only $4 too.

Denim vest: I’d been looking for a denim vest for quite a while and I didn’t want to spend $20 on one from a mall store that I didn’t even like that much. I looked through quite a few Goodwills but I finally found a suitable denim jacket that I cut into a vest!! It was only $10 so that was awesome. It goes with almost everything and it’s nice for trying to make outfits look fall-ish when it’s still blazing hot out.

98.7 FM: If you’re in the LA area this radio station is the best, a few times a day they do 98 minutes of music with no commercials. They also just play really good music.

Bakery Story: I’ve literally played this app for more than a year. I usually get sick of game apps and delete them when I’m bored of them but I will still be playing this when I’m an old person.

Chipotle: I have a love hate relationship with Chipotle. They’re overpriced and they give small servings but the food is soooo good. I get the burrito bowl with white rice, black beans, roasted vegetables, medium salsa and guacamole on the side.

Pumpkin everything: I have never seen so much pumpkin stuff being sold in stores. I like pumpkin spice lattes with no espresso from starbucks but lately I’ve been getting hot chocolate with half pumpkin syrup and half mocha syrup. I also love Thomas pumpkin spice bagels, pumpkin eggos and pumpkin pancakes.
